What is kopula?

A shared list of the LinkedIn profiles of the people at an event. The organiser and their helpers scan attendees' LinkedIn QR codes, so everyone on the list can connect afterwards.

How do I show my LinkedIn QR code?

Open the LinkedIn app on your phone, tap the QR code icon in the search bar at the top, then open the "My code" tab and show it to the scanner. The code is in the mobile app only, not on the website, and the menus can change: see LinkedIn's help page.

What happens to my LinkedIn profile?

kopula stores only the link to your profile. It reads nothing from LinkedIn, sends nothing to LinkedIn and never signs in to it.

Who can see my entry?

Anyone with the event's list link, plus the PIN if the organiser set one. They see your name, your tagline, your profile link and who scanned you.

How long is my data kept?

Until the list's deletion date: at most 30 days after the event was created, and shown on the list. Then the list and everything on it are permanently deleted.

How do I remove myself?

Open your personal link (the QR code you were shown when you were scanned) and remove your entry. Lost it? Ask the organiser. Removal is immediate and permanent.

Who receives my data?

The organiser and the people on the list. Service providers that host kopula and send its email process it on our behalf; see the privacy statement. It is never sold and never shared with LinkedIn.

Do I need an account?

No password. Sign in with your email to see all your events in one place.

Will I get emails?

Only if you add your email address, and then at most two per event. Organisers get their sign-in links by email.
